As a mission driven company, we believe in doing good business & doing good. In following that philosophy, we established the ServiceNow for Good program this year as a way to give back to our clients’ local communities.
But as to the real reason why, it was an opportunity to honor and remember the legacy of an employee’s daughter (Tuesday Whitt) who lost her battle to childhood cancer in 2009. Tuesday touched so many lives while here on Earth, and it’s our hope that we might do the same in her memory by supporting kids battling cancer and their families.
We kept the “ServiceNow for Good” program intentionally simple….take 1% of all ServiceNow software resold and 1% of all services revenue that we receive from clients and donate it back to their local Children’s Hospital.
So, when setting our corporate OKRs (Objectives + Key Results) at the beginning of 2020, at the top of the list was an Objective of donating $50k this year to Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
To achieve that stretch Objective, our team would need to deliver on several key results to achieve the desired output from our ServiceNow for Good program. And truly a team effort it was. From our Sales team seeking out opportunities to work with new and existing clients…to our Consulting team working hard to support our clients everyday….to our back office team managing our finances….and finally to our amazing Clients who put their trust in us to deliver on their objectives.
While 2020 has brought about much uncertainty, it’s also provided some needed clarity around “the why.” And for us, it’s a responsibility to be in business for reasons above and beyond just the services we provide.
As we arrive at the eve of a New Year, I’m very humbled and proud of our team that despite the obstacle of 2020 we’ve been able to meet that OKR of donating $50k which was spread across 13 different Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
With 2021 in our sights, we’ve recently decided to form a “ServiceNow for Good” leadership council with the goal of encouraging other organizations to join in the cause. By providing ServiceNow customers a turnkey opportunity to support their local Children’s Hospital, it’s our hope that we might together raise the level of impact made thru this program.
