Training Project Services
The following provides an overview of our Training Methodology that is used on Training Projects:
During the needs analysis phase, the Training personnel will hold introductory meetings and site visits to understand training as it relates to the overall project. The team will meet with trainers, end users, and project team members to understand historical training programs, daily job functions, and the degree of change that will occur when employees transition to the new system. During this phase, the team will identify the training needs, analyze the training audience, and build the overall Training Plan. Any customer requested adjustments to the proposed training courses will be made during this phase.
During the design phase, the training team will develop course outlines and define key course topics and modules. Initial designs for the course content, delivery mechanisms, and performance support requirements will also be created. Additionally, the team will create and confirm training material standards to provide consistency in the look and feel of the training materials.
The purpose of these design activities is to create a framework or “skeleton” for the training prior to beginning full-blown development. In addition, the design activities make training development a smoother, more consistent process.
Once the curriculum designs are complete, the training team will begin developing the training materials and other supporting deliverables. The training development phase should be slightly later than the project development cycle so that training materials correspond to the newest features of the system, but do not follow so closely that re-work and re-write is necessary in case of system changes.
Training courses will be delivered online and at local locations when possible in order to minimize staff time away from their daily tasks. The training schedule will be aligned with the deployment plan so that our customer's staff receives training in a timely manner. Additionally, considerations will be made so training takes place during a time that is convenient for our customer's staff.
At the conclusion of each training event, results will be measured. Participants will perform an evaluation quiz at the end of their training to gauge their system understanding and confidence. The participants will assess the training materials and instruction in course evaluations.
